Three Forks Chamber of
Commerce
The Chamber is
working toward a system whereby members choose at the beginning of the year
just how much and what they would like to give assistance for, hence the
addition of Gold, Silver, and Bronze membership categories. If you are interested in assisting the
Chamber with any of the programs or events, your donation of time and energy
would be greatly appreciated. We are
also trying to make it easier for those short on time to contribute to the
Chamber and give recognition to those members with the Gold, Silver, and Bronze
member status. Therefore, we are doing
a fund drive at the beginning of the year, in hopes of not having to come to
our business members every month or two and ask for donations.
The Chamber sponsors and works on several projects each year to bring
the traveling public into our town and promote the services and products that
our business members provide.
On even-numbered calendar years, the Chamber publishes a Three Forks
Telephone Book with its Business Members listed on the cover. Inside this telephone book are telephone
numbers for residents as well as businesses in the Three Forks and Willow Creek
area. We have been selling advertising
in the phone book to cover the cost of producing it. This year the telephone books will again be for sale in three or
four locations.
The Chamber's website is at: www.threeforksmontana.com. This site can be a very good tool for all
members because their business and telephone number are listed on the
site. If you have a website for your
business, you can have the Chamber site link to it from the business directory page. We have found that many people use the site
as a point of reference for finding services when they travel. If you
want to be linked to this site, please let us know.
The Chamber is
working hard to attract as many tourists as possible to our town and visit
our businesses while they are touring the Lewis & Clark trail.
Our
Visitor Information Center provides local information to the traveling public
from Memorial Day through Labor Day. We
have been able to fund the staff wages with a grant from Yellowstone
Country. We are required to provide a
telephone year around, insurance, and pay all the additional costs of
maintaining the Caboose supplies, etc.
We need each business to provide us with brochures and/or written
information that can be handed out to the visitors. We also mail packets of information to people that request information for their vacation travels or for relocation purposes.
