Bitter Pill: Montana Lives Affected by Rx Abuse is scheduled to visit Bozeman from March 26, 2017 through April 7, 2017. An opening reception will be held March 27 from 6-8 pm (with refreshments) and a closing panel discussion will be held April 5 from 6-8 pm at the Library, on the second floor. The Bitter Pill is a collection of artwork donated by survivors of prescription drug addiction that touchingly expresses the struggle, loss, and extreme cost of abuse. The goal of this exhibit is to start a positive community conversation about the problem of prescription drug abuse from the perspective of those most affected. The exhibit will also feature the resources and outreach that is available in Gallatin County for individuals struggling with addiction. Prescription drug abuse is a growing problem in Montana, and prescription opiate abuse has been linked to heroin use. This problem affects people of all ages, backgrounds, income brackets, and walks of life. Join us in our health outreach to bring this conversation into our community, and discover ways to help each other recover and build a better Montana.
